Microplankton biomass collected during RV METEOR cruise M153 to the Benguela Upwelling System transit area

Biomass of two seize fractions of microplankton was measured of samples taken during cruise M153 in February and March 2019 by a Multinet Midi (55 µm mesh size, 5 depths). The sampling took place in the northern and southern Benguela upwelling system in the context of the project TRAFFIC (Trophic TRAnsfer eFFICiency in the Benguela Current). TRAFFIC aims to enlighten the energy transfer through the food webs of the northern and southern subsystems of the Benguela upwelling system.

2019年2月至3月，在M153科考航次中，研究人员采用Multinet Midi采样器（网目尺寸55μm，采集5个水层）获取样本，对微浮游生物的两种粒径分级的生物量开展了测定。本次采样作业覆盖南北本格拉上升流系统，相关工作隶属于TRAFFIC项目（全称：本格拉海流营养传递效率，Trophic TRAnsfer eFFICiency in the Benguela Current）。该项目旨在阐明本格拉上升流系统南北子系统的食物网能量传递机制。
