Section 110 Survey of 3,627 acres in the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway, Itawamba and Monroe Counties, Mississippi.

Between 8 March 2010 and 9 July 2010, Brockington and Associates (Brockington) conducted intensive cultural resources survey of a total of 7,559 acres within the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mobile District. These survey tracts include 1,193 acres at two different reservoirs in east Alabama, 676 acres at two different reservoirs in north Georgia, 2,063 acres at one reservoir in west Georgia, 3,627 acres at a wildlife mitigation area in northeast Mississippi. This technical report is divided into three volumes. The current volume summarizes the findings from background research and intensive cultural resources survey of six tracts within the Canal Section of the Tennessee-Tombigee Waterway Wildlife Mitigation Area in northeast Mississippi. During the present field survey, researchers recorded a total of 15 previously unidentified archaeological sites (22MO1225-22MO1234, 22MO1236-22MO1240); revisited one previously recorded archaeological site (22MO583/977); and identified 12 isolated finds (Aberdeen Isolates 1-2, Nettleton, Highway 6 Isolate 1, Isolates 1-3, Smithville Isolates 1-3, Wren Isolates 1-2). This ARRA-funded task order employed 43 specialists for a period of 12 months.

本技术报告分为三卷，当前卷册汇总了密西西比州东北部田纳西-汤比格比水道野生动物缓解区运河区段内6处地块的背景研究与高强度文化资源勘测成果。

在本次野外勘测期间，研究人员共计记录了15处此前未被发现的考古遗址（编号22MO1225-22MO1234、22MO1236-22MO1240）；重新踏勘了1处此前已记录的考古遗址（编号22MO583/977）；并识别出12处孤立遗存（阿伯丁孤立遗存1-2、内特尔顿遗存、6号公路孤立遗存1、孤立遗存1-3、史密斯维尔孤立遗存1-3、雷恩孤立遗存1-2）。本由美国复苏与再投资法案（American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, ARRA）资助的任务订单共雇佣43名专业人员，执行周期为12个月。
