This data set was prepared to explore the effect of currents on wave dissipation by vegetation (hereafter referred as WDV) by conducting flume experiments with stiff plant mimics in combined wave-flow conditions. Two flume experiments with following and adverse currents were carried out respectively in a wave flume of the Fluid Mechanics Laboratory at Delft University of Technology and in a 26-m-long, 0.6-m-wide, 0.6-m-high wave and recirculating flume in Sun Yat-sen University. Wave height data, velocity data and force data were obtained in these two flume experiments. Notably, drag coefficient data were calculated using calibration method and direct measurement method. The data sets presented here includes the wave data, velocity data, force data, velocity profile and drag coefficient.
本数据集旨在通过在波流联合工况下开展刚性植物模拟体水槽试验,探究水流对植被消浪效应(Wave Dissipation by Vegetation,后文简称WDV)的影响。本研究分别于代尔夫特理工大学流体力学实验室的波浪水槽,以及中山大学一座长26米、宽0.6米、高0.6米的波浪循环水槽中,开展了顺流与逆流工况下的两组水槽试验。两组水槽试验均采集了波高数据、流速数据与受力数据。值得注意的是,阻力系数数据通过校准法与直接测量法两种方式计算得到。本数据集包含波浪数据、流速数据、受力数据、流速剖面以及阻力系数数据。
