PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a total heat exchange element paper excellent in thermal conductivity， moisture permeability and paper strength. SOLUTION: A total heat exchange element paper includes a beaten cellulose fiber， a wholly aromatic polyamide fiber and a moisture absorbent， and includes， as the wholly aromatic polyamide fiber， a fibrillated wholly aromatic polyamide fiber having a modified drainage degree of 300 ml or less. A content percentage of the fibrillated wholly aromatic polyamide fiber having the modified drainage degree of 300 ml or less is 2 mass% or more and less than 20 mass% relative to a total of fiber components included in the paper.
