This dataset contains solution files for contact mechanics problems solved using a generic contact formulation implemented in the legacy version of the FEniCS open-source finite element library. The model is based on a modified penalty method with a power-law interaction formulation. Simulations capture the elastic deformation of components under four distinct contact conditions. The dataset is organized into four directories, each corresponding to a different problem scenario. For each case, separate VTU files are provided for each part in the simulation. These files include the x-, y-, and z-components of displacement (in mm), all components of the strain tensor, and all components of the stress tensor (in MPa). This dataset serves as a useful benchmark for researchers in contact mechanics, materials science, and mechanical engineering. Selected animations illustrating the solution evolution are also included in a separate file.
