Genome sequencing of Streptococcus agalactiae strain SS1219 isolated from frog. Streptococcus agalactiae SS1219

To explore the phylogenomic relationships between GBS strains isolated from fish, frog and mammals, we performed the genome sequencing and annotation of the Streptococcus agalactiae strain SS1219 isolated from fish and belonging to ST260. A draft genome sequence was obtained using Illumina sequencing and reads were assembled into contigs using Velvet software.

为探究从鱼类、蛙类及哺乳类动物中分离的B群链球菌（Group B Streptococcus, GBS）菌株间的系统基因组学关系，本研究对一株从鱼类中分离、归属于ST260型的无乳链球菌（Streptococcus agalactiae）SS1219菌株开展了全基因组测序与注释工作。本研究采用Illumina测序技术获取该菌株的草图基因组序列，并通过Velvet软件将测序读段（reads）组装为重叠群（contigs）。
