Ethical Considerations of Renal Replacement Therapy among Chronic Kidney Disease in Indonesia

We address the evolving ethics on RRT selection through the lens of four principles (beneficence, nonmaleficence, autonomy and justice). Comprehensive understanding and elucidating the trajectory of RRT in Indonesia, is expected to provide a brief ethical framework for evaluating existing practice to recommend further strategy in caring patients with advanced stage of renal disease, especially in the context of decision towards RRT.

本研究以四大伦理原则：行善原则（beneficence）、不伤害原则（nonmaleficence）、自主原则（autonomy）与公正原则（justice）为视角，探讨肾脏替代治疗（Renal Replacement Therapy, RRT）选择领域不断演进的伦理议题。全面厘清并阐明印度尼西亚境内肾脏替代治疗的发展轨迹，有望为评估现有临床实践提供一套简明伦理框架，进而为晚期肾病患者的照护工作推荐优化策略，尤其适用于肾脏替代治疗相关决策场景。
