Using a dynamic reaching paradigm and recording technologies, the aim of this study is to describe the real-time cascade of postural, exploratory, and performatory movements that comprise typical manual actions, and to understand how these sequential and simultaneous components unfold over development. The study uses computerized video analysis, head-mounted eye tracking, high resolution motion tracking, and a motorized chair apparatus to study how infants coordinate body posture, eye movements and performatory reach-to-grasp movements under various conditions of ongoing movement. Infant data are compared to a sample of healthy young adults.

本研究采用动态伸手范式(dynamic reaching paradigm)与多模态记录技术,旨在刻画构成典型手部动作的姿势调控、探索性与执行性动作的实时级联过程,并解析这些兼具时序性与同步性的动作组分随发育进程的动态演化规律。本研究借助计算机化视频分析、头戴式眼动追踪(head-mounted eye tracking)、高分辨率运动追踪及电动座椅实验装置,探究婴儿在持续运动的多种实验条件下如何协调躯体姿势、眼动与执行性伸手抓握动作。研究将婴儿组实验数据与健康青年成人样本的数据进行对照分析。
