Source characterization of volatile organic compounds measured by PTR-ToF-MS in Delhi, India

Ambient measurement campaign took place at two sites during winter 2018 in Delhi, India. The sources of volatile organic compounds were disclosed measured by proton-transfer-reaction time-of-flight mass spectrometers (PTR-ToF-MS). The application of the novel positive matrix factorization receptor model enables the identification of strong anthropogenic sources at night and atmospheric oxidations in the daytime. Besides, a detailed comparison of VOC source composition and chemical transformation processes was provided in the urban and suburban areas.

2018年冬季,研究团队在印度德里的两个监测点位开展了环境大气观测实验。挥发性有机化合物(volatile organic compounds, VOCs)的排放源信息通过质子转移反应飞行时间质谱仪(proton-transfer-reaction time-of-flight mass spectrometers, PTR-ToF-MS)完成测定与解析。通过应用新型正矩阵因子分解受体模型(positive matrix factorization receptor model),本研究得以识别夜间的强人为排放源以及日间的大气氧化过程。此外,本研究还针对城市与郊区区域的VOC源成分谱及化学转化过程开展了详细对比分析。
