Here we describe microbial community dynamics in sediments underlying the San Pedro Ocean Time Series (SPOTS) station collected using a multi-corer. Using 16S rRNA gene sequencing of sediment horizons, we characterized community membership and structure to determine how the microbial community structure changed with respect to depth and pore-water concentrations of flavins, vitamins and geochemical parameters.
