The annunciation Archangel Gabriel

Gabriel is not called an archangel in the Bible, but is so called in Intertestamental period sources like the Book of Enoch. In the Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, and Anglican churches, the archangels Michael, Raphael, and Gabriel are also referred to as saints.圣经正典并未将加百列称为天使长（archangel），但在两约之间时期的文献（如《以诺书》）中，加百列则被如此称呼。在罗马天主教、东正教以及圣公会的教会传统中，天使长米迦勒、拉斐尔与加百列亦被列为圣徒。
