Areas of radon potential within Fairfax County. These are short-term test results from a study conducted by the Fairfax County Health Department during the winters of 1986-87 and 1987-88 found that radon levels above the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency action level of 4 picoCuries per liter of air (pCi/L) can occur anywhere in the areas shown on the map.
