Delineation Wells

Delineation well means a well that is so located in relation to another well penetrating an accumulation of petroleum that there is a reasonable expectation that another portion of that accumulation will be penetrated by the first-mentioned well and that the drilling is necessary in order to determine the commercial value of the accumulation.圈定井（Delineation well）指相较于另一口已钻遇油气聚集的井，位置配置合理，可合理预期钻获该油气聚集的另一区块，且其钻井作业系为确定该油气聚集的商业价值所必需的井。
