Dry (Wet) -Cold (Warm) Trend in the Huang-Huai-Hai Plain of China: Using a Compound Trend Identification Method

The impact of climate change on the human living environment cannot be underestimated. It not only leads to frequent extreme climate events but also changes the dry-wet and cold-warm structures in various regions. As a critical grain-producing area in China, it is essential to analyze the changes in climatic conditions in Huang-Huai-Hai Plain. In this work, we mainly designed a method to determine the compound dry-wet and cold-warm structural changes and constructed an index to quantify this change. The compound trend characteristics of this period were analyzed using the remote sensing precipitation data and temperature reanalysis data from 2001 to 2021 in the Huang-Huai-Hai region. The results show that: the study area gradually changed from drying-cooling to wetting-warming during 2006-2016. Although some areas of the Huang River Basin (especially the southern part of the Huang River) align with this trend, there is still a phenomenon of drying on the whole.

气候变化对人类居住环境的影响不容小觑。其不仅引发极端气候事件频发,还改变了各区域的干湿与冷暖结构。黄淮海平原作为我国重要的粮食主产区,分析其气候条件变化至关重要。本研究主要设计了一种识别复合干湿-冷暖结构变化的方法,并构建了量化该变化的指标。利用黄淮海地区2001-2021年的遥感降水数据与气温再分析数据,本研究分析了该时段的复合趋势特征。研究结果表明:2006-2016年间,研究区整体由干冷向暖湿转变。尽管黄河流域部分区域(尤其是黄河南部)契合该变化趋势,但流域整体仍存在干旱化现象。
