Ecotones form by high-altitude mountainous have larger environmental gradients and complex landscape elements. However, there is limited understanding of the biogeography of soil microbiome functions and their multiscale coupling with biotic and abiotic factors in ecotones. Here, we analyzed soil metagenomes, plant communities, and environmental factors across the elevation and slope aspects in the Qinling Mountains, the largest terrestrial ecotone in China.
高海拔山地中的生态交错带(ecotone)具备更为显著的环境梯度与复杂多样的景观要素。然而,目前学界对生态交错带内土壤微生物组功能的生物地理学格局,及其与生物、非生物因子的多尺度耦合关系仍缺乏充分认知。本研究以中国规模最大的陆地生态交错带——秦岭为研究对象,针对海拔与坡向梯度开展采样分析,测定了其土壤宏基因组(soil metagenomes)、植物群落及环境因子的相关特征。
