Transcriptomes of Streptococcus suis serotype 2 (05ZYH33,98HAH33 and P1/7)

Based on strand-specific RNA-seq analysis, we are to compare three transcriptomes of S.suis 2, including the two Chinese highly pathogenic isolates (05ZYH33 and 98HAH33) and a reference strain (P1/7), and aim at dissecting distinct biological processes, metabolisms and virulence factors with changed activities in two highly pathogenic isolates, and also identify novel protein coding genes and ncRNAs as candidates for further investigating their functions.

本研究基于链特异性RNA测序（strand-specific RNA-seq）分析，对猪链球菌2型（S.suis 2）的三套转录组开展比较研究，所涵盖的样本包括两株中国高致病性分离株（05ZYH33与98HAH33）及一株参考菌株（P1/7）。本研究旨在解析两株高致病性分离株中活性发生改变的独特生物学过程、代谢通路与毒力因子，同时鉴定新型蛋白质编码基因与非编码RNA（ncRNAs），作为后续功能研究的候选靶点。
