We studied patterns of taxonomic, functional and phylogenetic diversity as well as community composition of Saturniidae, as one of the most conspicuous and well-studied families of moths. Our study covered a forest recovery gradient from active agriculture via early and advanced stages of regrowth to old-growth rainforests in the lowland Chocó region of Ecuador.Saturniidae diversity patterns did not follow the hypothesized increase from agriculture to old-growth forest, but instead, highest taxonomic and functional diversity was found in early regrowth, and highest phylogenetic diversity in active agriculture. 本研究以大蚕蛾科(Saturniidae)——这一最醒目且研究最为充分的蛾类类群之一——为研究对象,系统探究了其分类多样性、功能多样性、系统发育多样性的分布格局以及群落组成特征。
本研究覆盖厄瓜多尔低地乔科(Chocó)地区的森林恢复梯度,样地涵盖从人工农田、早期次生林、晚期次生林直至老龄原始雨林的多种生境类型。
大蚕蛾科的多样性格局并未遵循“从农田到老龄林多样性逐步升高”的预设假说:其分类多样性与功能多样性的峰值出现在早期次生林中,而系统发育多样性的最高值则见于人工农田中。
森林恢复梯度上的多样性差异整体较弱,且仅在聚焦常见种与优势种时才表现显著;但群落组成呈现出逐步更替的趋势,其中老龄原始林与人工农田间的群落差异最为显著。
