Energy Data is collected for power plants that have a nameplate capacity of 1 MW or more. Counties without pie symbols had no utility-scale (commercial) electric generation installed. Distributed renewable generation (e.g. rooftop solar) is not included. Map and data originate from the California Energy Commission Quarterly Fuel and Energy Reports.
