Mechanistic basis for maintenance of CHG methylation in plants

This study investigated the regulatory mechanism of CMT3 mediated CHG methylation in A. thaliana. Whole-genome bisulfite sequencing of CMT3 and CMT3 mutants to determine genome-wide levels of CHG methylation and the effect on DNA methylation of making point mutations to CMT3.本研究探究了拟南芥（A. thaliana）中CMT3介导的CHG甲基化调控机制。通过对CMT3及CMT3突变体开展全基因组亚硫酸氢盐测序（Whole-genome bisulfite sequencing），以明确全基因组范围内的CHG甲基化水平，并解析对CMT3引入点突变后对DNA甲基化产生的影响。
