Solar Resource & Meteorological Assessment Project (SOLRMAP): Rotating Shadowband Radiometer (RSR); Cedar City, Utah (Data)

The U.S. Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory collaborates with the solar industry to establish high quality solar and meteorological measurements. This Solar Resource and Meteorological Assessment Project (SOLRMAP) provides high quality measurements to support deployment of power projects in the United States. The no-funds-exchanged collaboration brings NREL solar resource assessment expertise together with industry needs for measurements. The end result is high quality data sets to support the financing, design, and monitoring of large scale solar power projects for industry in addition to research-quality data for NREL model development. NREL provides consultation for instrumentation and station deployment, along with instrument calibrations, data acquisition, quality assessment, data distribution, and summary reports. Industry participants provide equipment, infrastructure, and station maintenance.

美国能源部国家可再生能源实验室（National Renewable Energy Laboratory，简称NREL）与太阳能产业开展合作，共建高质量太阳能与气象观测数据集。本项目全称为太阳能资源与气象评估项目（Solar Resource and Meteorological Assessment Project，简称SOLRMAP），所提供的高质量观测数据可支撑美国国内太阳能发电项目的部署工作。该无资金往来的合作模式，将NREL在太阳能资源评估领域的专业专长与产业界对观测数据的实际需求相结合。最终产出的高质量数据集，既能为产业界大型太阳能发电项目的融资、设计与运行监测提供支持，也可为NREL的模型研发提供科研级别的优质数据。NREL可为仪器部署与站点搭建提供咨询服务，具体涵盖仪器校准、数据采集、质量评估、数据分发以及总结报告编制等全流程；产业合作方则负责提供设备、基础设施及站点运维工作。
