Number of non-injury road accidents in India 2015-2022

In 2021, India witnessed nearly 27 thousand fatal road accidents across the country. This formed about six percent of the total road accidents that occurred in that year. Road accidents have been a major cause for concern across the Indian subcontinent. Each year, about three to five percent of the country’s GDP was invested in road accidents.
