Forecasting-Adjacent Courses

Forecasting-adjacent course data used in the analysis of course topic distributions among forecasting topics in the associated manuscript. Rows are individual courses. Columns are as follows: College: College or university name offering the course URL: URL for the homepage of the college or university State: State in which the college or university resides Type: Institution type, including length of program (2- or 4-year) and private or public institution. Community colleges and technical/vocational schools are explicitly identified Highgest degree offered: highest degree the institution offers in any field (associate's, bachelor's, master's, PhD, other professional terminal degree) Carnegie Classification: Carnegie classification according to Indiana University's Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education Course: Course name as it appears in the institution's course catalog Department: Department that offers the course, according to the course catalog Subtopic: Forecasting topic that best describes the course content The Carnegie classificatino and Subtopic columns are used in our analysis, but all columns are included for future analyses.

本数据集为关联手稿中分析预测学主题范畴内课程主题分布时所用的邻近预测学课程数据。数据集每一行对应一门独立课程，各列说明如下：
1. 院校名称（College）：开设该课程的学院或大学全称
2. 院校主页URL（URL）：对应院校官方主页的网址
3. 所在州（State）：该院校所处的行政州份
4. 院校类型（Type）：院校办学属性分类，包含项目学制（2年制或4年制）以及公办/民办属性，社区学院、技术与职业院校均会被明确标注
5. 最高授予学位（Highest degree offered）：该院校可在任意领域授予的最高等级学位，包括副学士学位、学士学位、硕士学位、博士学位及其他专业终端学位
6. 卡内基高等教育机构分类（Carnegie Classification）：依据印第安纳大学发布的《卡内基高等教育机构分类》（Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education）所划定的院校分类
7. 课程名称（Course）：院校官方课程目录中刊载的课程正式名称
8. 开课院系（Department）：根据院校课程目录标注的开设该课程的院系
9. 子主题（Subtopic）：最贴合该课程内容的预测学主题
本研究的分析将用到卡内基高等教育机构分类与子主题两列数据，其余列则保留以供后续研究使用。
