This study investigated methanogens during the preweaning phase in dairy calves. Fecal samples from ten Holstein calves at six timepoints (2 to 13 weeks) were analyzed for methanogenic archaeal diversity using 16S rRNA amplicon sequencing.

本研究针对乳用犊牛断奶前阶段的产甲烷菌（methanogens）开展了调查。研究采集10头荷斯坦犊牛在6个采样时间点（2至13周龄）的粪便样本，采用16S rRNA扩增子测序（16S rRNA amplicon sequencing）技术分析样本中产甲烷古菌的多样性。
