High resolution photographs of Tariccoia tazagurtensis

Photographs were taken with a digital camera Olympus E-PL8 with associatedOlympus M.Zuiko 30 mm f/3.5 macro lens. The lens was equipped with a polarizing filter to reduce reflections, and a second polarizer on the light source created crossed polarization to increase contrast. All specimens were photographed with low-angle NW lighting, both dry and immersed in ethanol (to increase contrast between rock and specimen). File name indicates conditions of photography. tar = Tariccoia; followed by specimen number. Followed by photograph view (whole specimen = ws; closeup of digestive glands = digest_glands_detail).
