\r\n\r\nRegional Development Australia (RDA) is an Australian Government initiative\r\nthat brings together all levels of government to enhance the growth and\r\ndevelopment of Australia-C/s regions. national network of RDA\r\ncommittees has been established to achieve this objective.\r\n\r\nRD Regions are created and maintained by the Regional Australia, Local\r\nGovernment, Arts and Sport to support this initiative.\r\n\r\n#### Notes\r\n\r\nThe RD Regions (2011) were built from the ABS LG 2011 boundary dataset.\r\n\r\nThe RDAA spatial dataA is updatedA as new LG boundaries as released by ABS\r\nor as RD regional boundaries move.AA\r\n\r\nOn the 16th of August 2011, the RDAA representation of Lord Howe Island,\r\npreviously RD Northern Rivers was changed to RD Mid North Coast.A The 2011\r\ndataset has been updated to reflect this change.\r\n\r\n#### NT, Tas and ACT\r\n\r\nThese states and territories are defined as single RD regions.\r\n\r\n#### SA\r\n\r\nRD regions are not completely defined with S LG boundaries, with some RDA\r\nregions being defined from the previously existing 2007 South Australia\r\nGovernment Region boundaries.A Thus, the large unincorporated S LG (Outback\r\nCommunities Authority) is divided between 3 RDAs (see [S Government\r\nRegions](http://www.planning.sa.gov.au/go/State-Government-Regions) for more\r\ninformation).\r\n\r\n#### NSW\r\n\r\nRD South Coast includes the external territory of Jervis Bay.A In previous\r\ndata releases, Lord Howe Island (part of the ABS Unincorporated NSW) was part\r\nofA RD Northern Rivers. On the 16 of August 2011, Lord Howe Island declared\r\nto be represented by Mid North Coast\r\n\r\nNorfolk Island IS NOT part of any RDA\r\n\r\n#### VIC\r\n\r\nUnincorporated VIC (Snow fields and Islands) have been combined into their\r\nsurrounding RDAs\r\n\r\n#### WA\r\n\r\nThe external territories of Christmas Island and Cocos/Keeling Islands are\r\npart of RD Mid West Gascoyne.\r\n\r\nThere was also an amalgamation between the City of Geraldton-Greenough and\r\nShire of Mullewa on the 1st of July 2011A to formA the City of Greater\r\nGeraldton.A The LG code for Geraldton-Greenough (53520) was retained for the\r\nnew City of Greater Geraldton.\r\n\r\n

RD区域由澳大利亚区域、地方政府、艺术与体育部创建并维护，以支持该倡议的落地。

#### 备注

2011版RD区域数据集基于澳大利亚统计局（Australian Bureau of Statistics, ABS）2011年地方政府（Local Government, LG）边界数据集构建而成。

RDAA空间数据集会根据澳大利亚统计局发布的新版地方政府边界数据，或RD区域边界的调整进行更新。

2011年8月16日，此前隶属于RD北河地区的豪勋爵岛的RDAA归属范围调整为RD中北海岸地区，2011版数据集已据此更新。

#### 北领地（NT）、塔斯马尼亚州（Tas）与澳大利亚首都领地（ACT）

上述州与领地均被划定为单一RD区域。

#### 南澳大利亚州（SA）

南澳大利亚州的RD区域并非完全基于地方政府边界划定，部分RDA区域参考了2007年南澳大利亚州政府原有区域边界进行定义。因此，面积广阔的未合并地方政府辖区（内陆社区管理局辖区）被划分为3个RDA区域，详细信息请参见[南澳大利亚州政府区域](http://www.planning.sa.gov.au/go/State-Government-Regions)。

#### 新南威尔士州（NSW）

RD南海岸区域包含杰维斯湾域外领地。在过往数据发布版本中，隶属于澳大利亚统计局新南威尔士州未合并辖区的豪勋爵岛曾隶属于RD北河地区；2011年8月16日，豪勋爵岛被调整至RD中北海岸地区管辖。

诺福克岛不属于任何RDA辖区。

#### 维多利亚州（VIC）

维多利亚州的未合并辖区（雪场与群岛区域）已并入周边的RDA区域。

#### 西澳大利亚州（WA）

西澳大利亚州的域外领地圣诞岛与科科斯（基林）群岛隶属于RD中西区-加斯科因地区。

2011年7月1日，杰拉尔顿-格里诺市与马尔瓦郡合并为大杰拉尔顿市，原杰拉尔顿-格里诺市的地方政府代码（53520）被沿用至新成立的大杰拉尔顿市。
