Funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), this project aims to digitize astronomical photographic plates and integrate them into the International Virtual Observatory. The database contains plate images, metadata, observation logs, astrometric solutions and photometric calibration data, spanning from 1893 to 1998 and covering the entire celestial sphere.
