This study aimed to identify transcript expression induced by tonifying herbal medicines (THM) and modes of action (MOA) of THM in HT29 cell line. For the production of THM-induced transcripts, tonifying herbal medicines water extract (THW) and tonifying herbal medicines ethanol extract (THE) were used. Overall design: Comparative gene expression profiling analysis of RNA-seq data for THW (500 ug/mL, 100 ug/mL, and 20 ug/mL, respectively), THE (500 ug/mL, 100 ug/mL, and 20 ug/mL, respectively), positive control (wortmannin and LY294002 10uM, respectively), and vehicle control (2% DMSO). However, in extracts with IC20 of less than 500ug/mL, the concentration at IC20 and the concentration diluted to 1/5 and 1/25 of the IC20 concentration were used, respectively.
