The thk1 mutant, causing multiple aleurone layers, disrupts the NOT1 scaffolding subunit of the CCR4-NOT regulatory complex and dysregulates genes involved in cell division, signaling, differentiation and metabolism. Overall design: Transcriptomes of 19 DAP endosperm from WT (as reference) and mutants of two thk1 alleles, thk1-iso15 and thk1-iso17 were profiled and analyzed. All were in a B73 inbred genetic background and 3 biological replicates were conducted for each.
