Soil Carbon on Dunes on Southern Hog Island, VA 2024

This data set contains loss-on-ignition-derived organic matter, as well as the estimated carbon content of soil cores extracted from dunes on Southern Hog Island. Cores were to a depth of 0.5m and extruded in increments of 2.5 cm. The cores span dunes of three different age categories (~7, ~11, and >20 years old) as well as three types (primary, secondary, and tertiary dune ridges).
