Here, we studied an undisturbed salt marsh chronosequence, spanning over a century of ecosystem development, to understand fungal succession in soil. We studied patterns of fungal community succession across five distinct soil sites (0, 5, 35, 65 and 105 years of development) using triplicate samples per site (A, B and C), at four time points (i.e. May, July, Septermber and November 2012) (total n=60).

本研究以未受干扰的盐沼演替序列(salt marsh chronosequence)为研究对象,该序列涵盖超过百年的生态系统发育过程,旨在探究土壤真菌群落的演替规律。研究针对5个独立土壤样地(分别对应0、5、35、65和105年的生态系统发育时长)开展,在4个采样时间点(即2012年5月、7月、9月和11月)分别采集样本,每个样地在每个时间点均设置3个重复样本(标记为A、B、C),总样本量为60。
