Energy consumption in the transport sector in Hong Kong 2010-2021, by vehicle type

In 2021, cars and motorcycles accounted for around 29 percent of the energy consumed by the transport sector in Hong Kong, up from 21 percent in 2010. Meanwhile, goods vehicle's energy consumption decreased by two percent during this 10-year period. Almost all energy in Hong Kong was derived from non-renewable sources.
