The present invention relates to the technical field of lubricating greases, and specifically provides a lubricating grease for main shaft bearings of wind power generation equipment and a preparation method thereof. The lubricating grease of the present invention comprises the following components in parts by weight: 73 to 91 parts of base oil, 8 to 16 parts of thickener, 1 to 3 parts of anti-wear and friction-reducing agent, 1 to 5 parts of antioxidant, 0.5 to 2 parts of extreme pressure anti-wear agent, 0.5 to 1.5 parts of rust inhibitor, and 0.5 to 1.5 parts of metal corrosion inhibitor. The anti-fretting wear lubricating grease for wind turbine main shaft bearings of the present invention can effectively enhance the service performance of the prepared grease, including extreme pressure anti-wear performance, antioxidant performance, anti-corrosion and rust-proof performance, via the optimized design of the compositions of base oil and additives. Thus, it can meet the service requirements of wind turbine main shaft bearings, especially the service performance requirements under harsh environments and operating conditions such as sand and dust, rain and snow, and seawater salt spray erosion.
