Image Processing On Line: Scientific Journal, Source Code Included

2012 SIAM Conference on Imaging Science MS72 Publishing Reproducible Science and Software Image Processing On Line (IPOL) publishes image algorithms with an attention to reproducibility: the description and the implementation are peer-reviewed and published under free licenses, the software must be reusable, and a web test and archive interface allows extensive exploration of the algorithm. With different publication procedures and tools, new constraints, and new benefits for researchers, the notions of quality and usefulness of a research article are reevaluated.
