We investigated the therapeutic effect of oral antiviral ensitrelvir and anti-inflammatory corticosteroid methylprednisolone in hamsters infected SARS-CoV-2. The infected hamsters were treated with (1) vehicle containing no drug, (2) ensitrelvir, (3) methylprednisolone alone, or (4) ensitrelvir combined with methylprednisolone. The dataset contains the results of mRNA-seq of lungs of the hamsters at 4 days post infection. This project revealed the effect of drug treatments on host inflammatory responses to SARS-CoV-2 infection.
