For characterizing the predominant transcriptional profiles associated with spike development progression, and to identify core regulatory candidate genes. Overall design: Tetraploid Triticum turgidum L. subsp. durum (Desf.) var. Kronos. Approximately 20 apices were combined for each biological replicate of samples harvested at stages W1.0 (shoot apical meristem, SAM) and W2.0 (early double ridge, EDR) and approximately 12 apices for samples harvested at stages W3.0 (double ridge, DR), W3.25 (lemma primordia, LP) and W3.5 (terminal spikelet, TS) (Waddington et al., 1983). Four biological replicates were harvested at each timepoint.

Kronos)。在W1.0阶段(茎尖分生组织,shoot apical meristem, SAM)与W2.0阶段(早期双棱期,early double ridge, EDR)采集的样本,每个生物学重复合并约20个茎尖;在W3.0阶段(双棱期,double ridge, DR)、W3.25阶段(颖片原基期,lemma primordia, LP)及W3.5阶段(顶端小穗期,terminal spikelet, TS)采集的样本,每个生物学重复合并约12个茎尖(Waddington等,1983)。每个时间点均设置4个生物学重复。
