Underwater images of Mayotte reefs, Jolly Roger, plot, Future Maore Reefs (FMR)

This dataset is the result of a fieldwork conducted at Mayotte island, over-sea French territory. Mayotte is part of the Comoros archipelago located northward in the Mozambique Channel, western Indian Ocean (WIO). Five well-developed coral reef ecosystems (Aéroport International, Île Blanche, Jolly Roger, N'Gouja, Surprise) representing fringing (F) and inner patch reefs (IPR) within 2-8m depth were sampled during ten field trips between october 2021 and september 2025.本数据集源自法国海外领地马约特岛的野外调查工作成果。马约特岛隶属于位于西印度洋（Western Indian Ocean, WIO）莫桑比克海峡北部的科摩罗群岛。本次调查共选取5处发育完整的珊瑚礁生态系统，分别为国际机场礁（Aéroport International）、布兰岛礁（Île Blanche）、乔利罗杰礁（Jolly Roger）、恩古贾礁（N'Gouja）与惊喜礁（Surprise），涵盖岸礁（fringing reef, F）与内部斑块礁（inner patch reefs, IPR）两种类型，所有采样点均处于水深2至8米的海域。采样工作于2021年10月至2025年9月期间，通过10次野外调查完成。
