Salvia hispanica (chia) is a highly nutritious food source and has gained popularity due to its high omega-3 fatty acid content. Red spider mites are a serious problem in the production of S. hispanica. However, no study has been conducted to analyze the defensive response to the infestation of red spider mites in S. hispanica. To elucidate the molecular mechanisms of the defensive response of S. hispanica to red spider mites, we performed a transcriptomic analysis of S. hispanica leaves when infested by red spider mites.

芡欧鼠尾草(Salvia hispanica,又名奇亚)是一种极具营养价值的食物来源,因其Omega-3脂肪酸含量极高而广受青睐。红蜘蛛螨是芡欧鼠尾草种植过程中的重大虫害问题。然而,目前尚无针对芡欧鼠尾草应对红蜘蛛螨侵染的防御反应开展的相关研究。为阐明芡欧鼠尾草抵御红蜘蛛螨侵染的分子防御机制,本研究对受红蜘蛛螨侵染的芡欧鼠尾草叶片进行了转录组分析。
