Materials Data on KHg3 by Materials Project

KHg3 crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. K is bonded to twelve equivalent Hg atoms to form a mixture of corner and face-sharing KHg12 cuboctahedra. There are six shorter (3.58 Å) and six longer (3.62 Å) K–Hg bond lengths. Hg is bonded in a see-saw-like geometry to four equivalent K atoms.

KHg₃晶体属于六方晶系，空间群为P6₃/mmc。该晶体结构为三维空间结构。K原子与十二个等价的Hg原子成键，形成兼具顶点共享与面共享特征的KHg₁₂立方八面体（cuboctahedra）。其中K—Hg键存在两种键长：6条键长为3.58 Å的较短键，以及6条键长为3.62 Å的较长键。Hg原子以类跷跷板构型与四个等价的K原子成键。
