E-Business Analysis of Garut University (UNIGA) Using the Business Model Canvas

The purpose of this study was to make a map of e-business implementation at Garut University (UNIGA) by using a business model canvas, to evaluate this implementation we used SWOT analysis and the importance of performance analysis (IPA) matrix. This study was qualitative research that had three phases. The first was the preliminary phase, the second was the evaluation phase, and the last was the validation phase. As a result, UNIGA still needs a lot of improvement to go on the value proposition “ICT Based Educational Institution”. From nine existing blocks of Business Model Canvas, seven blocks should be improved, namely key activity, key partner, channel, customer relationship, customer segments, cost structure, and revenue stream. SWOT analysis showed that all the attributes of strength and weakness are in the "keep up the good work" quadrant. The average respondent considered that the implementation of business at UNIGA has a good performance and could be applied at UNIGA.
本研究旨在借助商业模式画布(Business Model Canvas)绘制加律大学(Garut University, UNIGA)的电子商务实施现状图谱,并采用SWOT分析法与重要性-绩效分析(Importance-Performance Analysis, IPA)矩阵对该实施情况开展评估。本研究属于定性研究,共设置三个阶段,依次为准备阶段、评估阶段与验证阶段。研究结果显示,UNIGA在落实“以信息通信技术(Information and Communication Technology, ICT)为基础的教育机构”这一价值主张方面仍存在诸多改进空间。在商业模式画布现有的九个模块中,有七个模块亟待优化,分别为核心业务活动、核心合作伙伴、渠道通路、客户关系、客户细分、成本结构与收入来源。SWOT分析结果表明,所有优势与劣势属性均处于“持续保持良好表现”象限。受访对象普遍认为,UNIGA的电子商务实施表现良好,且可在该校落地推广。
