Herein, we provide data (Complete_data_CDV_vars.csv) and code from a study of mesocarnivores (Wilson et al. Wilson et al. CANINE DISTEMPER VIRUS PHYLOGENETIC STRUCTURE AND ECOLOGICALC9 ORRELATES OF INFECTION IN MESOCARNIVORES ACROSS ANTHROPOGENIC LAND USE GRADIENTSintending to understand what intrinsic and extrinsic (e.g. land use, temperature, precipitation, elevation) were associated with CDV prevalence. We use a generalized linear model to explore relationships between death due to CDV infection and affected species, the spatial distribution of positive and negative cases across land use types, and environmental and host factors associated with infection with a generalized linear model. We also genetically characterized 32 strains from positive animals by amplification and partial sequencing of the CDV H-gene and compared this to reference sequences.
