Dîwân-i-Shaukat This manuscript is now IO Islamic 1630 in the India Office collections. [metadata: Hermann Ethé, Catalogue of Persian Manuscripts in the Library of the India Office, 2 vols. This copy of Shaukat’s lyrical poems contains the ghazals, intermixed with rubâ’îs and fards, arranged alphabetically in two series. First series, on ff. 1b-130a, beginning as usually: خدايا رنگ الخ. This series goes from the rhyme-letter ا to ى. Second series, on ff. 130b-158b, beginning with a rubâ’î: رخساره نمود همچو پاى همه را الخ This series is separated from the first by four rubâ’îs, which stand outside the alphabetical system, and goes down from the rhyme-letter ا to م only. Dated the 3rd of Ramaḍân, A.H. ١١٤ (1140 ? or 1104 ?=A.D. 1728, April 13, or 1693, May 8), by Ḥâfiż Muḥammad Ṣâliḥ, son of Ḥâfiż Abû-alkhair. Calcutta, March, 1806.
