This dataset contains data collected from 12 participants running with seven inertial measurement units (IMUs) located on the lower legs, upper legs, pelvis, sternum, and wrist (underneath the watch), as well as a heart rate monitor and GPS watch, across three typical training sessions. The running protocols were performed on different days and consisted of an endurance run (END), an interval run (INT), and a 5 km sub-maximal effort (5K). Data were used to support the findings of two articles [1] and [2]. Before starting the running protocol, participants performed five forward hip bends (good mornings), five squats, and five knee flexion/extension movements (left and right; hip at 90 degrees flexion). A detailed explanation of the measurement protocol and equipment is provided in references [1] and [2]. Data collection took place between November 2023 and January 2024.
