Diversity, Diversity and Tolerance profile of Wild Yeasts from Natural Forests

In a natural forest in southwest Ethiopia, the study investigates the diversity and distribution of wild yeast species in the rhizosphere soil and plant surfaces. With high rates of yeast isolation from tree bark, it exposes a variety of yeast genera. Seasonal differences in yeast abundance were also discovered by the study; spring and summer demonstrated significant positive relationships. The discovery of stress-tolerant yeast species showed how adaptable they are to harsh environments. The study emphasizes the potential of stress-tolerant yeasts for biotechnological applications as well as the significance of natural forests as repositories of microbial diversity.本研究以埃塞俄比亚西南部的天然森林为研究样地，针对根际土壤与植物表面的野生酵母物种多样性及其分布特征展开探究。研究从树皮样本中获得了较高的酵母分离成功率，揭示了多个酵母属类群。此外，研究还发现酵母丰度存在季节性差异，春季与夏季的酵母丰度呈现显著正相关关系。本次发现的耐胁迫酵母物种，充分彰显了其对极端环境的适应能力。本研究既强调了天然森林作为微生物多样性储备库的重要价值，也凸显了耐胁迫酵母在生物技术应用领域的潜在应用前景。
