Preservation of collagen in the soft tissue of frozen mammoths

To evaluate whether collagen is preserved in the soft tissues of frozen mammoths for 40,000 years, we performed protein identification of mammoth lung and kidney (and elephant bone and kidney as controls) after trypsin digestion.

为探究冰冻猛犸象软组织中的胶原蛋白（collagen）是否在四万年间得以保存，我们在对样本进行胰蛋白酶消化后，对猛犸象的肺、肾脏组织（并以大象骨骼与肾脏作为对照样本）开展了蛋白质鉴定实验。
