Observations in the Hα line of the “Halloween” solar flare of 28 October 2003

This dataset contains a sequence of the famous “Halloween” solar flare in Hα line (core, blue wing, red wing) which occurred on 28 October 2003. It was observed at Meudon heliograph with one minute cadence and by space instruments such as SOHO (ESA/NASA). The active region generated a powerful X17 flare followed by a chromospheric Moreton wave well visible in Hα together with a “halo” Coronal Mass Ejection (CME), which produced a major disturbance at the earth 24 hours later (DST index of -350 nT).

本数据集包含2003年10月28日发生的著名"万圣节"太阳耀斑在Hα谱线（Hα line）核心、蓝翼、红翼三个波段的序列观测数据。该耀斑的观测工作由默东日像仪（Meudon heliograph）以1分钟的时间分辨率完成，同时也由太阳和日光层天文台（SOHO，欧洲空间局/美国国家航空航天局）等空间仪器开展观测。此次事件所在的太阳活动区产生了强度达X17级的强烈耀斑，紧随其后出现了在Hα谱线中清晰可见的色球层莫尔顿波（Moreton wave），同时伴随有"晕状"日冕物质抛射（CME）；该日冕物质抛射在24小时后对地球造成强烈地磁扰动，地磁环电流指数（DST index）低至-350纳特斯拉（nT）。
