NH Wildlife Action Plan 2025 - Aquatic Habitat (Estuarine/Marine)

The present goal of the Service is to provide the citizens of the United States and its Trust Territories with current geospatially referenced information on the status, extent, characteristics and functions of wetlands, riparian, deepwater and related aquatic habitats in priority areas to promote the understanding and conservation of these resources. NHFG updated this data in December 2024. High resolution salt marsh data for New Hampshire (NOAA, 2020) was used to improve map accuracy of NH’s coastal wetlands habitats. Bathymetric data was used to distinguish the classification of the Marine Nearshore habitat type (less than 10 meters depth) from Marine Offshore habitat (NOAA, 2024).
