Relief of a maenad with a goat

A Maenad, identifiable thanks to the ivy leaves and berries held back by a band around her forehead and the nebris (fawn skin) over her left shoulder, sits in front of a billy goat, held firmly by one of its horns. It this decorative relief, elements inspired by bucolic scenes deriving from the Greek Hellenistic world combined with neo-Attic figurative schemes. This object is part of Scan The World. Scan the World is a non-profit initiative introduced by MyMiniFactory, through which we are creating a digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks and landmarks from across the globe for the public to access for free.
