Impact of captivity and natural habitats on gut microbiome in Epinephelus akaara across seasons

In this study, we collected 72 E. akaara samples from both wild and captive populations in Dongshan city, during four different seasons. The gut of each fish was divided into four sections to obtain comprehensive information on the gut microbial composition. The samples were sequenced using 16S rRNA next-generation Illumina MiSeq and analyzed.

本研究于四个不同季节，从东山市的野生及圈养种群中采集了72尾赤点石斑鱼（E. akaara）样本。为全面获取肠道微生物群落组成的相关信息，将每尾鱼的肠道划分为四个区段取样。所获样本采用基于Illumina MiSeq平台的16S核糖体RNA（16S rRNA）下一代测序技术完成测序并开展分析。
