Nematostella vectensis, an estuarine cnidarian, harbors specific microbiotas that change in response to different environmental conditions. In this study we investigated how the microbiota composition changes within the same metazoan species, between six different geographic locations along a North-South gradient, and between three different sampling seasons. We monitored also the different impacts that the culturing under lab conditions and under three different temperatures have on the microbiotas of polyps originated from different wild populations.
星海葵(Nematostella vectensis)是一种河口生境刺胞动物,其体内携带有特定的微生物群(microbiota),该菌群会随环境条件的改变发生动态变化。本研究以该同种后生动物(Metazoa)为研究对象,探究了其微生物群组成在沿南北梯度分布的6个不同地理种群之间,以及3个不同采样季之间的变化规律;同时还监测了实验室人工培养与三种不同温度培养条件,对源自不同野生种群的水螅体(polyps)微生物群所产生的差异化影响。
