Oral and Gut Microbiome on Mexican healthy subjects

This project aims to characterize the composition and diversity of the oral and gut microbiome in healthy Mexican individuals. Using high-throughput sequencing techniques, we will analyze bacterial communities from dental plaque and fecal samples collected from a representative cohort. The study seeks to establish baseline microbial profiles within this population and to explore potential associations with diet, lifestyle, and genetic background. The findings may inform future research on microbiome-related health outcomes and support the development of region-specific therapeutic and dietary strategies for Mexican population.

本项目旨在刻画健康墨西哥人群的口腔与肠道微生物组（microbiome）的组成与多样性。研究团队将采用高通量测序技术，对来自代表性队列的牙菌斑与粪便样本中的细菌群落进行分析。本研究旨在确立该人群的基线微生物组特征谱，并探索其与饮食、生活方式及遗传背景之间的潜在关联。研究结果可为未来微生物组相关健康结局的研究提供参考，并助力开发针对墨西哥人群的区域特异性治疗与膳食策略。
